A targeted injectable treatment designed specifically for the appearance of cellulite.

Alidya is a medical device developed for the treatment of gynoid lipodystrophy, commonly known as cellulite. It is delivered using a mesotherapy technique and is designed to support the skin and subcutaneous tissue in areas affected by mild to moderate cellulite.

Treatment is personalised according to the area being treated and the severity of your cellulite, with a course of sessions usually recommended for progressive improvement.

What Can Alidya Help With?

Alidya is designed to support improvement in:

  • The visible appearance of cellulite
  • Skin smoothness
  • Skin firmness
  • The appearance of dimpled or uneven skin
  • Lymphatic drainage within the treated area

The treatment is particularly suited to mild to moderate cellulite, also described as Grade I and Grade II cellulite on the Nürnberger Müller scale.

How Does Alidya Work?

Alidya contains a combination of amino acids, antioxidants, chelating agents, draining agents and a buffering system.

The formulation is designed to:

  • Supply amino acids that help the skin build new collagen
  • Support tissue oxygenation
  • Support lymphatic drainage
  • Help balance the environment of the dermal and subcutaneous tissues
  • Support the normal structure and function of the subcutaneous tissue

Which Areas Can Be Treated?

Common treatment areas include:

  • Thighs
  • Buttocks
  • Lower abdomen
  • Back of the arms

Suitability will depend on the size and extent of the area being treated.

What Happens During Treatment?

Alidya is administered directly into areas affected by cellulite using mesotherapy injections with a very fine needle.

The injections themselves take from around 10 minutes, and can take longer depending on the size and number of areas being treated. Your appointment will also allow additional time for assessment, preparation and aftercare.

Most patients can return to their normal daily activities following treatment.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Alidya is designed to be performed as a course rather than a single treatment.

A course of approximately 7 sessions is recommended, usually performed weekly or every two weeks depending on your individual treatment plan. We usually begin with 4 treatments before reviewing your progress and deciding whether further sessions would be beneficial.

Some patients may begin to notice visible changes within approximately one month of starting their treatment course. Results and the number of treatments required will vary between individuals.

Maintenance

Once your initial course is complete, monthly maintenance treatments may be recommended to help support your results.

A further treatment course may also be considered every 6 to 12 months, depending on your individual needs and response to treatment.

Your cellulite will therefore be assessed before treatment to determine whether Alidya is an appropriate option for you.

Patient information

Frequently asked questions

Is There Downtime?

Downtime is generally minimal.

You may experience temporary localised effects associated with multiple small injections, and full aftercare guidance will be provided following your appointment.

Following treatment, it is recommended that you:

  • Avoid applying cosmetics to the treated area for at least 24 hours
  • Avoid hot tubs, jacuzzis and saunas for at least 3 days
  • Maintain good hydration following treatment
Who Is Alidya Best Suited To?

Alidya is primarily suited to patients experiencing mild or moderate cellulite, corresponding to Grade I or Grade II cellulite.

It is not recommended as a first line treatment for Grade III fibrotic cellulite with nodules, as other treatment approaches may need to be considered first.

Is Alidya a fat reduction treatment?

Alidya is specifically designed to address the appearance and tissue changes associated with cellulite. Your consultation will determine whether cellulite is your primary concern and whether Alidya is an appropriate treatment option.

Is Alidya suitable for all cellulite?

No. Alidya is best suited to mild to moderate cellulite.

Patients with more advanced, fibrotic Grade III cellulite may require a different treatment approach before Alidya is considered.

How many sessions will I need?

A course of approximately 7 sessions is recommended, usually performed weekly or every two weeks.

The exact number of sessions will depend on your cellulite, treatment area and individual response.

When might I start to notice a difference?

Visible changes may begin to appear within approximately one month of starting weekly treatment.

Results vary between individuals and improvement is usually progressive across the treatment course.

How long does an appointment take?

The Alidya injections themselves take from around 10 minutes, and can take longer depending on the size and number of areas being treated. Your full appointment will also include time for assessment, preparation and aftercare.

Will I need maintenance treatments?

Maintenance may be recommended once your initial course is complete.

Monthly maintenance sessions can be considered where appropriate, and a further course may be repeated every 6 to 12 months depending on your individual needs.

Can I exercise after Alidya?

Regular exercise and healthy lifestyle habits are recommended as part of supporting and maintaining your treatment results. Your individual post treatment guidance will be discussed during your appointment.

Do I need to change my diet?

There is no specific Alidya diet. However, a balanced diet, regular exercise and healthy lifestyle habits are recommended to complement your treatment plan.

Is a consultation required?

Yes. Your consultation allows us to assess the type and severity of your cellulite, discuss your goals and determine whether Alidya is appropriate before creating your personalised treatment plan.
