Mr Lulu Double Peel
The Mr Lulu Double Peel is a fully customisable professional chemical peel designed to target pigmentation, breakouts, congestion, uneven skin tone and texture while supporting overall skin health.
A consultation is required before any treatment at Good Things Clinic, view our consultation options here.
Unlike a one size fits all peel, the treatment is tailored according to your skin concerns, condition and treatment goals. The Double Peel system combines an initial salicylic resurfacing phase with a customised powder peel, allowing your treatment to be adapted at each appointment.

How Does the Double Peel Work?
The treatment begins with the Salicylic Resurfacing Oil, helping to exfoliate the skin and address excess oil and congestion.
This is followed by one of two professional powder peels selected according to your individual skin needs:
Lactic Azelaic Powder Peel
Selected where the focus is primarily pigmentation, uneven skin tone, dullness and improving overall skin clarity.
Succinic Azelaic Powder Peel
Selected particularly for breakout prone, congested or blemish prone skin while also supporting improvement in post breakout pigmentation and uneven tone.
The ability to choose between the two formulations means your Double Peel treatment can continue to be adjusted as your skin changes throughout your treatment journey. Mr Lulu’s professional system includes both formulations alongside separate Bright and Clear powder masks, allowing further customisation according to the concerns being treated.
What Can the Double Peel Help With?
The Double Peel may be suitable for:
- Pigmentation and uneven skin tone
- Post breakout pigmentation
- Breakouts and congestion
- Dull or lacklustre skin
- Uneven skin texture
- Melasma
- Visible pores
- Early signs of skin ageing
Every treatment is adapted to your individual skin rather than following the same protocol for every patient.
Your Treatment
Your appointment begins with an assessment of your skin and current concerns so that the most appropriate combination of products can be selected.
Following preparation of the skin, the Salicylic Resurfacing Oil is applied before your individually selected Lactic Azelaic or Succinic Azelaic Powder Peel.
Your treatment is then completed with targeted professional products selected according to your skin needs.
Enhance Your Double Peel
Your treatment can be further personalised with additional treatments where appropriate.
Dermaplaning can be added to remove surface dead skin cells and fine vellus hair, leaving the skin feeling smoother and allowing for an enhanced resurfacing treatment.
LED Light Therapy can also be added following your peel to complement your treatment and support your individual skin concerns.
Suitability for combination treatments will always be assessed before treatment.

Frequently asked questions
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Your treatment plan will depend on your skin concerns and goals. While skin may appear brighter and smoother following an individual treatment, concerns such as pigmentation, congestion and post breakout marks are usually approached progressively.
Mr Lulu recommends a course of at least three treatments approximately 10 to 20 days apart, with appropriate homecare used alongside professional treatment. After reaching your treatment goals, this peel can be incorporated every 4 weeks as part of your monthly skin maintenance.
Will My Skin Peel?
Not necessarily.
The amount of visible peeling does not determine how effective your chemical peel has been. Some patients may experience mild dryness or flaking while others may experience very little visible peeling.
Your treatment is customised according to your skin and the results we are trying to achieve.
Is the Double Peel Suitable for Different Skin Tones?
Yes. The Mr Lulu Double Peel has been developed with darker skin tones in mind and is fully customisable, making it particularly valuable when approaching concerns such as pigmentation across different skin tones.
Your skin will always be assessed individually and the treatment selected according to its needs.
Why Choose the Mr Lulu Double Peel?
The Double Peel is not simply one acid applied in the same way to every patient.
Its modular approach allows different stages of the treatment to be selected according to your skin, including a choice between Lactic Azelaic and Succinic Azelaic powder peels and targeted finishing products.
This means your treatment can evolve alongside your skin, whether your priority is pigmentation, breakouts, congestion, texture or overall skin clarity.
At Good Things Clinic, the Double Peel can also form part of a wider personalised skin plan combining professional treatments with appropriate at home skincare to support long term progress.
