Frequently asked questions

How is my sample collected?

Depending on the test selected, your sample can be collected using either a finger prick or venepuncture.

How quickly will I receive my result?

These are point of care tests, with many results available within approximately 3 to 15 minutes, depending on the marker being tested.

Can I test more than one marker?

Yes. Multiple markers can be selected where appropriate.

If you are interested in several different aspects of your health, we can also discuss whether one of our more comprehensive Targeted or Advanced Wellness Screening options would provide more useful insight.

Do I need to know which test I need before booking?

No. We can discuss what you would like to understand and help you select the most appropriate screening option.

Do I need to fast before my blood test?

Preparation depends on the specific test being performed. You will be given any relevant instructions before your appointment.

What happens if my result is outside the expected range?

Your result will be explained to you alongside appropriate next steps. Where a result indicates that further medical assessment or investigation may be required, you will be advised accordingly.

Does wellness screening replace seeing my GP?

No. These services are intended to provide health and wellness screening and should not replace medical diagnosis, treatment or appropriate care from your GP or other healthcare professional.
