Explore What Matters to You

Targeted Wellness Screening is for patients who would like a deeper assessment of a particular area of their health.

We work with Genova Diagnostics, whose specialist laboratory profiles cover areas including hormonal health, digestive and gut health, nutritional status and immune related testing.

What areas can I explore?

Depending on your concerns, targeted testing may include:

  • Hormonal health
  • Women’s health
  • Perimenopause and menopause
  • Adrenal and stress related hormone profiles
  • Gut and digestive health
  • Nutritional status
  • Food sensitivity testing
  • Allergy related testing
  • Other specialist wellness profiles

The appropriate test is selected according to your individual concerns rather than taking a one size fits all approach.

Investment: Dependent on the specialist test selected

As each Genova Diagnostics profile assesses different markers and requires different laboratory analysis, pricing varies according to the test chosen. Your options and full cost will be discussed with you before testing.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know which Genova test is right for me?

You do not need to decide alone.

Your consultation allows us to discuss your symptoms, health history and what you would like to understand before selecting the most appropriate profile.

For example, Genova differentiates between profiles for cycling women, perimenopausal women and menopausal women rather than recommending the same hormone assessment for everyone.

What types of samples are required?

This depends on the profile selected.

Genova testing can involve saliva, urine, blood, blood spot, stool or buccal swab samples, depending on what is being assessed. For example, Women’s Health+ uses saliva, urine and a buccal swab, while gastrointestinal profiles use stool testing.

Can you help with perimenopause and menopause screening?

Yes. Genova offers dedicated hormonal health profiles, including Menopause Plus, which is positioned for perimenopausal women, as well as other hormone profiles depending on life stage and clinical needs.

Can you investigate gut health?

Genova offers specialist gastrointestinal testing designed to provide information relating to areas such as digestion, the intestinal microbiome, inflammation and potential gastrointestinal pathogens.

How long do results take?

Turnaround times vary according to the laboratory profile selected. You will be advised of the expected timeframe when your test is arranged.

Will I receive a report?

Yes. Genova profiles provide laboratory reports containing the results of the markers included within your selected test. Your results will be reviewed with you so that you understand the findings and appropriate next steps.

What happens if my results require further investigation?

Targeted wellness testing is intended to provide additional insight, not replace appropriate medical diagnosis or treatment.

Where your results indicate that further medical assessment may be required, you will be advised on the appropriate next steps.
